Pledge Drive Starts September 25th!!
CJAM's 2009 pledge drive begins Friday, September 25th at noon. This pledge week will also be the final week that we broadcast at 91.5 FM. CJAM will power down at midnight on the 5th of October and resume broadcasting later in the week at 99.1 FM. Please take the time to donate and help us offset the enormous cost of a new tower and our move to our new frequency. Be a part of history and support community radio in Windsor/Detroit!

Jazz Singer Chris Connor Passes Away
Chris Connor, who sang with the Stan Kenton band during the '50's, succumbed to cancer on August 29th. She was 81. Born in Kansas, Mo, Miss Connor became one of the first white female jazz singers to sign with Atlantic Records. She recorded with Maynard Ferguson, Kenny Burrell, Clark Terry and John Lewis. Her signature song, All About Ronnie, is considered a classic.
