The line up for the 2010 Montreal Jazz Festival has been announced. Among the many scheduled are Sonny Rollins, Boz Scaggs, Cassandra Wilson, Cesaria Evora, George Benson, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed and the Manhattan Transfer.

New Jazz Series at Music Hall

The Music Hall's "Jazz Cafe Discovery Series" presents new and emerging Jazz talent from the metropolitan Detroit area. Performances are held in the intimate, art-deco, acoustically perfect Jazz Cafe, located in the lower level of Music Hall.

These exciting performances are recorded for broadcast and bands have the opportunity for a $5,000 cash prize and a slot on the stage at the Jazz on the River Festival at Elizabeth Park in Trenton. Judy Adams hosts.

Admission is FREE and performances begin at 7pm.
